The SARA Rail Conference will be a high profile event whose broad theme is “Revitalising Railway Services through Innovation in Southern Africa”. Sub themes to be covered during plenary sessions, panel discussion and breakaway sessions will comprise operational, commercial, technical, human resources, policy, restructuring, environment and risk management issues in the railway sector.

The three-day conference features ministers of transport and top-level executives from the Southern African Development Community (SADC) who shall provide the most up-to-date information of the rail sector.  Furthermore, leading experts from Africa and around the world will be addressing not only policy issues but operations improvement strategies and technological advancement. Case studies from around Africa and around the world will provide practical insights into the developments in the railway sector.
